  You have to fasten the brackets provided in the kit with the help of power screwing. Make sure you screw them directly into the wooden trim that is located on either side of the window. The brackets have to be screwed at the uppermost inside edges in your window.

  Use the hooks or clips provided with your kit while attaching the valance to the front portion of the head rail. Snap or hang the clips from the head rail so that the wooden blinds can be suspended easily below the head rail. This will allow the smooth movement of the blinds.

  Now slide the head rail inside the grooves made within the brackets until it is snapped into place.

  To secure the head rail you have to now close the bracket doors. If there is a tilt wand in your blind then slide it into place and make sure the control lever is released.

  Lastly release the cord lock to lower the wooden blinds over the window.
