How to Compare XBox 360 and XBox 360 Elite
- 1). Look at hard drive space. The Xbox 360 Elite comes with a built-in hard drive in one of two sizes -- 120GB or 250GB. The other versions of the Xbox 360 (like the Arcade version) either do not have a built-in hard drive or have a much smaller hard drive, either 20GB or 60GB in capacity.
- 2). Compare what accessories are bundled in with your Xbox 360. Depending on which version of the Elite console you buy, you will either get two wireless controllers (for the 250GB version) or one wireless controller (for the 120GB version). Other versions of the Xbox 360, like the Pro console, come with only one wireless controller no matter what capacity hard drive you buy.
- 3). Look at the price. The 250GB version of the Xbox 260 Elite console retailed at $399.99 in the U.S. as of January 2011. By comparison, the Arcade version of the Xbox 360 retailed at $199.99 and the Pro edition of the console retailed at a price of $249.99. These prices can vary depending on which retailer you purchase the console at, but the suggested retail price is a way to gauge how much you'll be spending on your console.
