How to Become a Champion in "Dragon Age"
- 1). Complete the "Tomb of the Sacred Ashes" quest, obtained roughly midway through the main storyline. You must journey to the supposed final resting place of the prophet Andraste in order to retrieve a pinch of her sacred ashes, reputed to have miraculous healing potential. Follow the quest through to completion. There are several choices during this quest that can affect the overall outcome of the story, but they will not affect your unlocking the champion class.
- 2). Return to Redcliff. Regardless of the choices you made at the tomb, you will have gathered a pinch of the sacred ashes. Enter Redcliff castle to heal Arl Eamon. If for some reason you have not already completed the first half of the Redcliff quest, you will have to deal with Redcliff's troubles first.
- 3). Accept Arl Eamon's reward for helping him. As part of the reward you are granted the champion specialization. Use one of your specialization points, acquired at level 7 and level 14, to select it. You now have access to the champion bonuses as well as the unlocked champion talents.
