How to Install a Hammock in a Bedroom
- 1). Scan the walls with a stud finder on each side of the corner in which you want to hang the hammock. The studs should be at least 6 feet from the corner to create enough room to hang your hammock.
- 2). Measure four feet up from the floor on the studs found on the wall. Make an X on the stud with a pencil.
- 3). Drill a 3/16-inch hole into the center of the stud with a cordless drill. The hole needs to be slightly smaller than the eye bolt.
- 4). Twist the eye bolt into the drilled hole and put the screwdriver inside the eye to twist the bolt all the way into the wall until the eye touches the wall. Place the other eye bolt into the other hole in the adjacent wall.
- 5). Attach the ropes on each end of the hammock into the eye bolts. Check that the ropes are tight on the eyes before laying in the hammock.
