How to Make a Bulldog Out of Socks
- 1). Cut off the cuff of the first sock with scissors. Turn the sock inside out and flatten it, so the heel is in the middle of the sock. Make a cut into the middle of the ankle that reaches to the beginning of the heel. Use the sewing needle and sewing thread to sew the tops of the ankle and halfway up both sides of the middle cut closed, leaving an opening beside the heel. This forms the legs.
- 2). Turn the sock right side out through the unsewn opening. Fill the sock with the polyester stuffing. Sew the opening closed.
- 3). Bend the section under the sock's toe backward so that it is positioned upright, and sew it to the section behind it to hold it in place. This forms the bulldog's neck.
- 4). Cut the toe and ankle off the second sock. Place the ankle end over the bulldog's neck and sew it in place. Stuff the second sock.
- 5). Tuck the open edges of the second sock in and hold them together to form a curved shape. Sew the opening closed. This is the bulldog's head.
- 6). Cut two triangles from the toe of the second sock. Sew the triangles closed, leaving an opening at the bottom. Cut two pieces from the pipe cleaner that are slightly shorter than the triangles. Insert each pipe cleaner piece into each ear.
- 7). Sew both ears onto the top of the head with the flat side facing forward. Bend the tips of the pipe cleaners inside the ears down to make the ear folds, or leave the ears unfolded and pricked upward.
- 8). Cut the cuff off of the second sock's ankle. Cut the ankle in half lengthwise. Turn the sections inside out and sew each piece closed, leaving an opening at the top. Turn the sections right side out. Stuff each section and sew the opening closed. Sew each section onto either side of the front of the dog's body before the neck bend. This creates the bulldog's front legs.
- 9). Cut one-fourth off of the second sock's cuff. Sew the long sides together. Cut a length of pipe cleaner that is slightly shorter than the cut cuff and insert it into the bottom opening. Sew the cuff onto the hind end of the bulldog's body to attach the tail. Bend the tail into a corkscrew shape.

Sew two buttons onto the front of the dog's head for the eyes. Sew the third button onto the tip of the head for the nose. Sew two long lines with the embroidery thread that start at the nose and lead diagonally down toward the bottom of the head to form the bulldog's jowls.
