Mastiffs are a large dog that many people think are just lazy and want to lay around the entire time.
Now at times it can seem like that your dog is going to be just that, but if they are you know that much like us we have to exercise them from time to time to make sure that they do not develop some of the health problems that we have.
Here is how I manage to take care of my dogs laziness.
The first thing that I do is each morning I will take him for a walk in the backyard for about ten to fifteen minutes per day.
Now I know that many times it will seem like that I do this just because he has to go out first thing in the morning, but it is also exercise for him as well and makes him walk which helps keep him in shape while at the same time dealing with some of the inherit Mastiff laziness.
The second thing that I do is find a toy that I know that he will really like and purchase that toy for him.
I know that for my Mastiff I found a toy stuffed animal that he really likes to play with and I keep that toy out for him during the day.
However, if he has recently eaten or drank I do put the toy up so that he cannot get to the toy until his food and water have digested some.
