How to Clean a Battery Operated Stuffed Animal

    • 1). Remove any clothing from the stuffed animal and examine for stains. Clean the stained areas with a baby wipe and let dry for about 10 to 15 minutes before moving on to the next step.

    • 2). Remove the batteries from the stuffed animal then cover the opening and battery cover with masking tape.

    • 3). Place the stuffed animal on a clean plastic bag. Sprinkle the stuffed animal with a generous amount of baking soda and rub it into the fur. Let the baking soda set for about 30 minutes to clean and freshen the stuffed animal.

    • 4). Brush off the baking soda using a clean brush or vacuum it off using a clean nozzle attachment on the vacuum.

    • 5). Hand or machine wash the stuffed animal's clothing, If clothing, such as a hat, is glued, clean it instead with a baby wipe.

    • 6). Clean any plastic parts with a baby wipe or a cloth and cotton swab dampened with rubbing alcohol. Dry thoroughly.

    • 7). Remove the masking tape and put the batteries back in the stuffed animal and operate it as usual.
