Life's a Beach! Well it can be with the right dog accessories.
Dogs love to run and splash at the beach, it's a great way to keep them cool and refreshed over the hot months, and a wonderful way for you to relax and unwind.
But finding beach-proof dog accessories can be really hard.
First you need a decent dog collar: Yes your dog should still wear a dog collar and most importantly a dog tag, just in case the unimaginable happens and they get lost, but finding them an appropriate dog collar for the beach has always been a chore, the majority of them will retain water and become soggy, which will make them smelly! Now no dog wants to be wearing a soggy, smelly dog collar do they? A waterproof dog collar that looks good and stays dry, doesn't get effected by all the salt, sand and sun would be super cool.
Next a dog lead that suits our Australian beach environment: As you stroll towards the ocean your dog see's the gorgeous surf, he hears it calling, next thing you know your arm has been nearly ripped out of its socket as he makes a mad dash to leap into the water, cause he thinks its going to disappear as the water rolls back, he must get in the water before it's gone! A dog lead with just the right amount of stretch to take up some of that energy would be awesome; it would give immediate correction to a pulling over excited dog.
The next problem you meet at the beach is the snap clip on your dogs lead won't open because it's clogged up with sand and salty water, how great would it be to have a dog lead that actually still works after a day at the beach?
