Many people online today are struggling on a daily basis.
Most have been sold on the hype of joining a home based business and told that they don't have to do anything but advertise their opportunity.
All the rest will be taken care of for them because "systems works and people fail".
Sounds familiar! Well, systems do work if you align yourself with the right one.
People do fail because they don't take the time to learn what it takes to achieve success with their own business.
As difficult as it is in today's society to provide for your family and know that your future is secure, so many people are seeking other ways to become financially independent.
Joining or starting your own home based business is definitely the best way to achieve this, but it does take work, time, dedication and training in order to have a successful business of your own.
One of the most difficult tasks home based business owners run into is how to talk to and close their prospects.
Most business owners come across as salesmen when in reality you need to think in terms of being in business development.
When you talk to prospects, develop a friendship first.
The reason for this is because friends don't have a hidden agenda, they don't assert their opinions nor do they have an ulterior motive.
A good way to look at this is to ask yourself, "would you talk to you"? Most people will jump right in and say yes, but really think about that question.
Are you coming across as a salesman who only is thinking about that one particular sale and nothing more? Would you be interested in continuing a conversation with you if that were the case? You need to make your prospect feel important.
Get to know them, who they are as a person.
Find out their needs, their wants and their goals and then give it to them.
When you are talking to your prospect and it's time to direct them to your information, repeat what they told you about their needs, wants and goals.
They end up selling themselves on the opportunity because it will fulfill what they just told you that they want.
Also talk to your prospects with enthusiasm.
People are more impressed with enthusiasm then knowledge.
Be interested in your prospect and remember that you are not the issue.
People aren't interested in you; they are only interested in what they can get from you.
If you are NOT genuinely interested in other people, you will have the greatest human failure.
The most important thing to remember is to treat people the way you would want to be treated.
Put yourself in your prospects shoes.
Would you purchase something from you? Would you want to be your friend? It's always been said that if you help others get what they want then it will always come back to you.
So help those first and then you can reap the rewards later.
