Kirstie Alley Off the Wagon:

2 1/2 years ago, Kirstie Alley showed off her 75 pound weight loss by appearing on Oprah in bikini. Kirstie first spoke to Oprah about her weight in 2004 when a tabloid photo surfaced and then again in 2005 after becoming the spokesperson for Jenny Craig. The bikini reveal came in 2006 after achieving her goal with the company. When Oprah spoke about falling off her own wagon back in January, Kirstie sent her an email sharing her own story of not being able to maintain her weight loss.

Joining Oprah on stage, Kirstie first shared how at the moment she felt fat; never thinking she was thin enough back in 2006, but knowing now that she looked good. Feeling like she let down the people she inspired to lose weight, Kirstie stated that putting the weight back on was humiliating. Once she stopped being the spokesperson for Jenny Craig, Kirstie stopped exercising and eating controlled meals. Once the pressure was gone to continue to lose weight, there wasn't anything pushing her to stay on the healthy lifestyle. One positive change is that Kirstie has stopped smoking since her last visit to the show.

Since 2006, Kirstie has put back on the 75 pounds she lost plus an additional 10 pounds. After ending Jenny Craig, Kirstie moved her exercise machines into the garage and turned the room back into a dining room in order to have dinner parties. Wanting to make the commitment again to her health, she had a crew move her equipment back into her home from the garage and showed Oprah's cameras that she was ready to start the process.

Kirstie admitted that she had not started using the machines, but had in fact lost 20 pounds in the last 5 weeks through the weight loss program she has been researching and developing.

Knowing that she is not responsible or accountable when it comes to her diet and weight, Kirstie felt that there had to be a program for people like her who struggled to stay on traditional routines. Kirstie announced that the program would be ready for the public sometime between November and January.

With Valerie Bertinelli gracing the cover of People Magazine in a bikini after successfully losing the weight with Jenny Craig, Oprah was interested in hearing how Kirstie felt about Valerie's success. Kirstie stated that Valerie's weight loss was dazzling and that her body rocked.

Kirstie is the one who brought Valerie to Jenny Craig and was somewhat disappointed in herself that the pupil outdid the teacher. Inspired by Valerie's loss and appearance on the cover, Kirstie stated that she would like to set the goal again to be ripped in 6 months. Oprah encouraged her not to put a time on her weight loss, but to instead focus on her health, so Kirstie then pushed it back to give herself until February. Oprah announced that when Kirstie was ready, she would help her celebrate her success.

Michael Hebranko's Weight Loss Journey:

In all the years that Oprah has been doing the show, she has never seen a weight loss story quite like Michael Hebranko. Michael always struggled with his weight throughout his life, weighing 300 pounds at 15 and reaching his all-time high of 1100 pounds at 34. Wanting to be there for his wife and child, Michael reached his lowest point when he put a gun into his mouth and contemplated suicide because of his failure to his family. What almost killed him also made him make the change to lose the weight and Michael began working with Richard Simmons on a new healthy life.

Michael Hebranko became the individual with the most weight loss in the shortest amount of time in 1990 when he went from 1100 pounds down to 198. Reaching his goal of being under 200 pounds, Michael went out and celebrated by eating out. In a matter of 6 years, Michael put back on all the weight he had lost and had to be removed through the wall of his house to go to a weight loss rehabilitation center.

Michael appeared on the show via Skype from Brooklyn and shared that he is now doing well and loving life. Michael has since learning that dieting is not an option for lifelong weight loss.

Michael is now back down into the mid 350s and is still working hard, but slowly, to get to a healthy place in his life. When Michael lost 705 pounds in 19 months back in 1990, he went to the extremes with diet and exercise instead of taking his time and making his health the priority like now.

Michael married at 23 and at the time weighed about 450 pounds. Since then, he shared that the ordeal he has put his family through is what hurts the most. His son, now 32, has given Michael a grandson with another on the way this summer, giving his more of a reason to get his health on track.

Michael has been able to keep up a positive attitude about his journey and says that he feels like he gets more of his life back as he continues to lose weight. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, Michael strives to become healthy with the goal to live as long as possible; Michael is now almost 60. Not physically ready for weight loss surgery, Michael shared that the procedure would not work for him unless it also changed the chemistry of his brain since he is an emotional eater. But now that he is older, Michael knows that his goal have changed and he ultimately wants to be there for his family.
