2014 Salomon Ski Boots
Salomon (buy direct) has continued to use their knowledge to improve their boots and tighten their selection. They still offer real race boots with their X Lab series. The X Lab Soft (130) and X Lab 110 are available in a tight 95 mm forefoot width. Then the X Max 130, X Max 120 and the X Max 100 come with a 98 mm width. They open the series up wider with the X Pro 130, X Pro 120, X Pro 100 and the X Pro 80 all in a 100 mm forefoot width.
Ladies get the X Max 110W, X Max 90W, X Max 70W in a 98 mm width then the X Pro 90W, X Pro 70W and the X Pro 60W come in 100 mm width. The widest traditional models are the Divine 65, Divine 55 at 104 mm width for the ladies. Then the Mission 70 and the Mission 60 are buckets for the men in 104 mm width also.
Quest Ski Boots
Salomon has their walk mode series with the Quest models. They are 3 buckle boots with the walk mode and some are made out of Pebax a lightweight plastic. The Quest Max 130 is the bear with a 98 mm forefoot, a stiff flex and the ability to go anywhere you can. The Quest Max BC 120 and the Quest Max 100 are also 98 mm width. Then they widen the Quest series with the Quest 120, Quest 110 and the Quest 90 all in 100 mm width. They go wider yet to 104 mm forefoot width with the Quest Access 80, Quest Access 70 and the Quest Access 60.
Ladies get the same options with the Quest 100W and the Quest 80W in 100 mm width and the Quest Access 70W, Quest Access 60W and the Quest Access 50W all available in the 104 mm width.
Park and Pipe Ski Boots
There are a couple of park and pipe options from Salomon which are two buckle boots with an upright stance with the Ghost 130 and the Ghost 110 in 98 mm width and the SPK 100 and the SPK 85 in a 104 mm width. These include extra soft boot boards for the landings as well as over sized power straps to hold it together.
Junior Ski Boots
The junior options are good and Salomon is offering one of the only junior walk mode boots models available. The Quest Access 70T is 104 mm width in the forefoot, includes the walk mode and has grip soles. The SPK 75 is 2 buckles with the wider power strap also in 104 mm width. Then the X Max LC 65 is race ready in a 98 mm width with 4 buckles and a traditional 4 buckle design. The Team Large (30) and the Team Small (30) are the same model depending on which size you get. With three buckles on the large and two buckles on the small both in 102 mm width. Then they have the tiny T1 (10) and the T1 Girly (10) with one buckle and 102 mm width.
