Sighting Reports - Pennsylvania, California, and Florida
October 1, 2013 - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Shape: Unknown - Duration: 1 minute - Driving across the Glenfied Bridge, northbound, I saw an odd shape as I was looking southeast down the Ohio.
It wasn't a plane. It was low on the horizon; No blimp either. It wasn't on any approach to Greater Pitt International.
It was in controlled flight about seven miles off. I judge the distance from how far I can see down the river.
I was going to play (bad) golf at Olde Stonewall at 1:22 tee time. I've never mentioned this to anyone, until now. Maybe someone else saw it.
It was too big for blimp or airplane or Kc135s or even a C5 or C17. It was much less than a Hercules. We get those types around here from the National Guard base and refueling and airlift wing.
And this was at least one week after a big mobilization by the guard. Don't take my word for it; I hope you find other reports to verify mine.

October 2, 2013 - Southwest Ranches, Florida
Shape: Light - Duration: 5 minutes - Brilliant white light in southwest sky stationary over 7 minutes then vanished. This was not an airplane!
I exited the rear door of my house and observed a brilliant white light in southwest sky. I initially thought it was was a heavy jet, but was stationary. I positioned myself placing the object directly over a roof peak on an out building. The object was not moving.
I observed it about 5 minutes.
I called my wife and children out to look. I sent my wife into the garage to get a telescope to have a closer look. As I was calibrating the scope, my wife said it simply vanished. It was visible about 5-7 minutes, but I am not sure how long it was there before I saw it.
We did notice very slight movement down toward the horizon. The object was about 20 degrees elevation and in a southwest direction moving very slightly. The magnitude was 100x the brightness of the brightest star or planet.
It was a brilliant white; like a halogen bulb. There were colors like the rainbow shining downward at 8 and 4 o'clock positions. It was impossible to judge the distance, but I would guess it was below any orbit and 50+ miles away.
I am an airline pilot for a major airline. I know what civil and military aircraft look like. This was nothing I have ever seen before.
Florida was the location of one of Ufology's most controversial cases. See The Gulf Breeze Sightings.
October 2, 2013 - San Francisco, California
Shape: Sphere - Duration: 10-15 minutes - Whitish/metallic sphere high in the sky over San Francisco.
On a cloudless sunny Wednesday morning in San Francisco, I witnessed a round shaped (it could've been disc shaped) UFO flying at a very high altitude going from northwest to southeast direction.
The object was white, but it could've been silver; it was very high in the sky, way higher than altitudes that regular passenger jets usually fly in this area. It was flying at a slow speed from my perspective and it was not doing any erratic movements.
At one particular point, it sharply turned east positioning itself right above my head and then it stopped moving and just hovered there for a while, which clearly indicated that this thing was under intelligent control.
The object stayed semi-stationary, doing side to side and up and down small movements (again from my perspective), and at one point I felt that the object intentionally wanted me to see it... After about 10 minutes, the object started moving and after another minute or so I lost eye contact with it as it moved away to the southeast.
It was very high up in the sky. The best part of this sighting was that I was able to capture a 1:36 video of the object while it was above my head executing side to side up and down small maneuvers. The white/silver object although small, is pretty clear in the video if you know what you're looking for.
I was filming it with my iPhone camera which does not have a zoom feature (which sucks). I was tempted to go grab my digital camera which has good zoom, but I was afraid I was going to lose contact with the object if I ran inside the house to retrieved the digital cam (which the batteries turned out to be dead I found out later, so it was the right decision).
