Looking Back at Big Brother Season 11
Season 11 of the popular CBS series "Big Brother" began on July 1, 2009.
The twelve houseguests were split up into four cliques: the Popular Clique (Braden, Jordan, and Laura), the Off-Beat Clique (Casey, Kevin, and Lydia), the Brains Clique (Chima, Michele, and Ronnie), and the Athlete Clique (Jeff, Natalie, and Russell).
If someone from your clique won HOH, you were safe from elimination for the week.
However, there was a twist - Jessie Godderz from season 10 was brought back when the Athletes won the first Head of Household (HOH) and he joined their team.
The first two houseguests nominated for eviction were Chima and Lydia.
Russell saved Lydia and was replaced by Braden, who became the first houseguest voted out.
The Brains took control of the house as Ronnie won the second HOH.
He nominated Laura and Jeff for eviction, but Jeff won the Power of Veto (POV) and took himself off the block.
He was replaced with Jordan, but it was Laura who left the house.
HOH control went back to the Athletes as Jessie won HOH that week.
Jordan and Michele were nominated for eviction but once again a nominee took themselves off the block when Michele won the POV.
The house enjoyed a margarita party Casey won for them as part of the POV competition and he also won a banana suit, which he had to wear all week.
After Michele came off the block, Jessie nominated Casey and he became the third houseguest to leave.
For the fourth HOH, the cliques were disbanded.
The viewing public was allowed to give one houseguest the Coup d'Etat power.
The next HOH was won by Russell and Ronnie and Lydia was put up for eviction.
Michele won the POV yet chose not to use it on anyone.
Jeff won the Coup d'etat power from the viewers.
That meant he could take away the HOH power by replacing the nominations at the last minute.
He chose not to use it this week and Ronnie was evicted.
Chima became the fifth HOH and nominated Lydia and Russell.
Kevin won the POV but didn't use it.
However, Jeff used his Coup d'etat power to change Chima's nominations to Jessie and Natalie and Jessie was evicted.
Michele won the next HOH competition.
Chima had not been following the Big Brother rules to come to the Diary Room when called and repeatedly took off her microphone.

Because of this, a new HOH had to be chosen.
Jordan won HOH while Natalie won a call from home, Russell won a spa visit, and Jeff won a vacation to Hawaii.

Kevin was the next HOH and put up Jeff and Michele.
As the HOH, Kevin also got to open Pandora's Box.
It promised to release $10,000, but once he put his hand in the box, it released 10,000 one dollar bills into the courtyard and the other houseguests grabbed them up.
It also locked his hand in the box and Jeff had to find a key to release him.
He was able to collect some money ($626), but it was Jeff that got the most ($3,181).
Michele won the POV, took herself off the block, and Kevin nominated Jordan.
Jeff was evicted on Day 61.
Down to just four houseguests, the next HOH was won by Natalie.
The houseguests got to keep any clothing they shopped for during the competition.
Natalie chose to open Pandora's Box to see her boyfriend for 15 minutes, but it also sent visitors to annoy the other houseguests.
Kevin and Michele were nominated for eviction.
Kevin won the final POV and used it on himself, so Michele was evicted.
That left Kevin, Natalie and Jordan in the finals.
Kevin won the first round of the final HOH competition.
Jordan and Natalie went head to head and it was Jordan who won.
She and Kevin competed for the final HOH by completing jury member's sentences.
Jordan won the final HOH and evicted Kevin.
Natalie only got two jury votes and Jordan won the $250,000.
