How To Find Criminal Records in Dallas, Texas
- 1). Go to the Dallas County Online Record Search website. Click "Continue" located under County Court Search.
- 2). Click on "Criminal Background." Enter, at minimum, the last name of the person you want to research. Complete as much of the form as possible to narrow the search. Under "Name Type," leave the selection as "Defendent."
- 3). Search four times, changing the options under "Number Type" and "Pending" each time. Choose the options "bonds" and "pending" for the first search. Select "bonds" and "disposed" for the second search. For the third search, choose "cases" and "pending." And for the fourth search select "cases" and "disposed."
- 4). Search other public information sites, such as the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Service if the Dallas record search returns no information. A crime within the state might have been committed in a jurisdiction other than Dallas County. Use a commercial search site, which typically charge a fee, to search nationwide.
