What to Write About
Let's decide the best way to banish these thoughts.
Get a piece of paper and write down everything you are interested in and everything you do with your life.
Have you got children? Are you married? What is your job? What is your favorite food, drink, pastime? Who are your friends, what are their interests and what do you like to do together? What music do you listen to and what books do you read? To write, you do not have to aspire to be the next William Shakespeare.
In fact, the vast majority of writers are just the same as you and me.
They are ordinary people with ordinary lives.
They have jobs, families and hobbies just like us.
The main difference between prolific writers and us is that they have actually started writing.
they don't choose esoteric subjects to write about but instead the talk about what interests them and how they interact with the world about them.
Even the article you are reading now is simply an opinion of what I feel about writing.
It is a personal judgement.
I have not read any books or spoken to any professors in order to communicate my feelings to you.
I have done no research and conducted no surveys.
So, start the writing process by talking about what moves you and makes you tick.
Before long you will not stop writing
