Rhinoplasty - Masculine Vs Feminine

Cosmetic surgeons alter the structure of the nose with a procedure known in the medical world as a rhinoplasty.
A more common name for this operation is a nose job.
This one facial feature plays a crucial role in the entire face's appearance.
If it is out of harmony with the other features, the whole look can be thrown out of harmony.
A nose that is too large can make the eyes look small and close together, it can make the mouth look tiny and the chin to appear weak.
The proper nasal size and structure can recreate one's appearance.
However, what works on a woman might look ridiculous on a man, and vice versa.
The correct size and type must be properly suited for each unique individual.
Masculine facial features are usually stronger and well defined.
If the nose is too large and dominant, however, this can affect the rest.
If it is crooked or has an awkward lump, this will detract from the man's eyes and mouth.
If his nose is too slender or tiny, it may appear feminine and out of place.
Feminine features are usually softer and smaller.
A bumpy, crooked or gigantic nose will give a woman a crone appearance, or make her appear to resemble a witch.
Too wide of a nasal bridge or nostrils will make a woman's eyes and lips appear small and her cheekbones less chiseled.
During an initial consultation appointment with a plastic surgeon, a man or woman's nasal area will be closely examined.
The cartilage, bone structure, skin type, tissue overlays and how they relate to the entire facial composition will be carefully looked over.
The goal of a good rhinoplasty is enhancement - to make it appear natural and harmonious with the existing structures.
It's a wise idea to view "before and after" photos during this first appointment in order to open up communication and make sure expectations are realistic.
A typical rhinoplasty takes from one to three hours to perform.
It will be completed by a plastic surgeon in a hospital or clinical setting.
The patient will usually go home on the same day that the operation was performed.
The area will be supported initially by a splint and the patient should expect some pain, bruising and swelling in the first few weeks.
It will take a full one to two years before the final result has settled in, but most of the swelling should disappear within a few months.
Whether the patient is male or female, a rhinoplasty can greatly enhance a person's entire facial appearance.
An initial consultation with a cosmetic surgeon who specializes in the facial region should be able to answer any questions a potential patient may have.
