How do I Test a Samsung Washer & Dryer?
- 1). Plug the washer into the wall and turn the "Cycle Selector" knob to "Spin Cycle." Pull the knob out and wait for the washer to start spinning. If the washer spins, then the power is working properly.
- 2). Turn the "Temperature" knob to the "Cold" setting and pull the "Cycle Selector" knob out. Open the washer and feel the water to make sure it is cold.
- 3). Turn the "Temperature" knob to the "Hot" setting, and pull the "Cycle Selector" knob out. Open the washer and feel the water to make sure it is hot.
- 4). Allow the washer to fill up with hot water and look around the base of the washer for any leaks.
- 5). Turn the "Cycle Selector" knob to "Spin Cycle," then pull the knob out. Wait for the washer to drain. If the washer doesn't drain properly, there is probably a clog in the drain tube.
- 1). Plug the dryer into the wall outlet and turn the "Cycle Selector" knob to any cycle. Push the "Start" button. If the dryer starts, there are no problems with the power.
- 2). Allow the dryer to run for a couple of minutes. Feel the top of the dryer to make sure it is getting hot. This means that the heating element is working properly.
- 3). Pull the door open while the dryer is on. Look for the drum to quit spinning. If the drum is spinning, the dryer belt is working properly.
- 4). Look at the exhaust hose in the back of the dryer while it is on. If the exhaust hose is taut, there are no clogs in the hose. If the hose is limp, there is a clog somewhere in the dryer.
