The Beautiful Caribbean Weather
The weather in the Caribbean could be described as a never ending summer. The equatorial position of the Caribbean islands has made this possible resulting in little changes among seasons. Although the four seasons are quite evident, the changes in temperature are subtle slipping by undetected.
There is a cliché which says that there are only two seasons in the Caribbean, wet and dry. While this may be humorous it does seems to make sense because the change between the rainy and dry period is more drastic than summer and winter. Of course this is not a one size fits all and some of the Caribbean islands are wetter than others but in general they all strike a nice balance between the rainy and dry seasons.
The annual average temperature is around 28 degrees Celsius fluctuating between 26 and 33 degrees. This gives the Caribbean a feel of eternal summer enhancing its attractiveness as an all year vacation paradise. The gently trade wind that caresses one's body with the feel of freshness is quite rejuvenating. Most native Islanders take this great weather and atmospheric conditions for granted. The appreciation mostly comes when they traveled to countries further north of the equator and hit by the old man winter.
The Caribbean's mono temperature is perfect for outdoor activities and just right for nature lovers. It would be erroneous to say that it is perfect because it is not a panacea for all activities.
