Judd and Barbara Jacobson founded Flying Wheels Travel in 1970 to assist persons with disabilities who want to travel. Judd Jacobson was a quadriplegic who truly understood the needs of travelers with disabilities, particularly wheelchair users. His wife, Barbara, continues to run the business after his death. Today, Flying Wheels Travel plans trips not only for clients with disabilities but also for persons with chronic illnesses, slow walkers and mature travelers.

Land tour options vary from year to year, but have included Japan, Germany, Peru, the Galápagos Islands, Cape Cod and Russia.
Tour Participant Demographics:
Participants in Flying Wheels Travel's tours and cruises are persons with disabilities or chronic illnesses and their families and friends. Mature travelers are also welcome on Flying Wheels Travel's cruises and tours.
Single Traveler Information:
Flying Wheels Travel charges a single supplement. On some tours, you can ask to be matched with a roommate.
