Values

• An entrepreneur has to work at projects that align well with his values and convictions because whether he believes in his work plays a big part in determining his success. For example, a doctor who wants to dedicate his life to helping people with their medical problems may choose to open his own practice so he can continue to do so while being his own boss. Some factors an entrepreneur can consider when determining his work values include his need for stability, public contact, intellectual recognition, excitement, competition and independence.
  
  

Vision

• An entrepreneur manages a project or an organization, infusing it with his vision to achieve his goals. Entrepreneurship starts with an idea, according to the University of Toronto. The entrepreneur needs to develop a plan and a set of measurable goals based on his vision. He then has to obtain the required resources and make his vision happen. To be successful, an entrepreneur has to possess this hunger for achievement.
  
  

Leadership

• An entrepreneur may start by working alone, but he needs help from other people once the business grows. Eventually, an entrepreneur needs to develop and manage a group of people. As such, an entrepreneur has to have sufficient leadership skills to inspire other people to work toward the same vision and goals that he has. Only in this way can he get people to produce the results he wants and achieve success.
  
  

Skills

• An entrepreneur does not have to know how to do every single thing his organization needs to accomplish. In fact, an entrepreneur may have limited skills, but does not worry about what he cannot do. Instead, he focuses on the tasks he can do and starts doing them. By interacting with other people and attracting them to contribute their skills and resources, the entrepreneur increases his pool of available resources.
