Keystone Foods is a West Conshohocken food supplier founded by Herb Lotman in the late 1960s. The company moved quickly from a small beef-boning plant to one of the major suppliers for the fast-food industry when, according to Keystone's website, "Lotman pioneered the mass-produced, individually quick frozen (IQF) hamburger patty." This innovation led Keystone Foods to become one of McDonald's major suppliers.

In the late 1970s, Lotman and Keystone further strengthened the company's partnership with McDonald's by developing the now ubiquitous boneless McNugget.

Today Keystone Foods processes beef, poultry and fish and has divisions all over the world, including in Europe, Asia and Australia. In 2009 Keystone Foods ranked 51 on Forbes' list of America's largest private companies. Keystone Foods also co-sponsors the LPGA Championship and supports the Ronald McDonald Houses, which provide housing for the families of sick children.
