LitterMaid Reviews - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

If you have been dreaming of litter box heaven, then you might have considered reading some LitterMaid Reviews and those of other vendors.
I know I did.
I found there are three key areas an individual needs to evaluate a litter box against.
I am going to review these areas below.
Convenience? The LitterMaid Reviews overall indicate the box is a vast improvement over manually cleaning a litter box.
However, there are areas of concern.
The main concern most users had seems to be cleaning the rakes.
The rakes get clogged up from clumped cat litter.
Some models did not allow the rake to be removed so it was difficult to clean.
As well, some users complained that the parts do not properly fit the design of the box.
This can cause waste to fall outside of the refuse holder to the floor.
Reliability? The main problem LitterMaid Reviews indicate is there are lots of breakdowns due to the fact the rakes get clogged with clumped litter.
This makes the motor work very hard, causing burn outs and stalls.
Many users have gotten so disgusted they have thrown out their automatic solutions to go back to a manual one.
Odor Control? LitterMaid litter boxes seem to help quite a bit with odor control, because they remove the clumped litter out of the box and seal it in a refuse holder.
However, that holder is small on most models so it needs to be changed every few days.
Other Options? After reading these reviews, I decided to try the Litter Robot.
That too broke down within two months of use.
Both boxes use clumpling clay litter which can clog the mechanics of the equipment.
Thinking I was clever I tried the Omega Paw box.
That was more work than simply scooping litter.
Turning it upside down to get the litter cleaned was a hassle.
Finally, I tried the ScoopFree with the permanent litter tray.
This box gets very favorable reviews.
It is not the only box out there, but for the price it is the only box with such great reviews.
I recommend this one to my friends used with a permanent litter tray.
It is a great idea to read LitterMaid Reviews, but ultimately you will have to decide for yourself which box is better.
You will have to "read between the lines.
" I say this because I read many reviews about the Litter Robot.
It gets great reviews.
But mine broke down within two months of use! After this experience I have concluded that a great litter box will not use clay clumping litter because it clogs the equipment, no matter how robustly the machine is designed.
I finally opted for the ScoopFree Litter box because it uses the revolutionary concept of silica litter crystals, which do not clump.
The crystals instead absorb the liquid neutralizing odor and avoiding clogs with the rake.
