When to Replace the Water Heater
It is important to make sure that you are using your current water heating unit as long as possible.
Of course, there will come a time when the heater need replaced.
Sometimes this is an obvious decision while other times you might be a little confused as to whether or not you need another water-heater.
If for example, your water heater breaks and you have a small flood in your house, then it is obviously time for a new water heater.
If you are just starting to notice that there is rust on your water heater or the temperature is not staying as warm for as long as you would like it to, you may have some time, or you may need to replace it now.
How bad is the rust? Is it a large area that might suddenly break open and pour water all over the place? If so, because of the dangers of extreme burns as this water is hot, it would be wise to simply replace the heater.
Some people are determined not to replace their water heater because they have only had it for a few years.
Check the warranty that came with it, you may be covered if it did not last as long as it should.
If you are outside of the warranty and it needs replaced, do it, do not wait.
The dangers and problems that can come from waiting too long are simply not worth the money saved.
