There are a lot of ways to lower your blood sugar.
Some natural, some pharmaceutical.
This article will go over the ways to lower blood sugar naturally.
To be consistent in your efforts to lower your blood sugar to levels that are healthy, it usually requires a shift in your thinking.
This thinking shift brings you away from the idea that all symptoms and signs are "fixed" with a drug, so you can go on with your life.
It embraces the idea that the human body can and will heal itself if you remove the obstacles or interferences that are causing poor health to begin with.
These interferences are generally lifestyle based.
That means that what you do and do not do in your daily life, are far more important in being healthy than any drug regimen.
So, a commitment to living life according to some basic principles gives a great shot at lowering your blood sugar and reversing insulin resistance.
What are these basic principles? It is an overworked phrase that says "exercise and eat healthy" to cure what ails you.
But there is much truth hidden in that time worn phrase.
The real key is what kind of exercise and which foods can you eat to lower your blood sugar and reverse insulin resistance.
Of course, any exercise is better than none at all.
Simply walk 20 - 30 minutes a day and that will lower your insulin.
However, it looks like the research on progressive accelerated exercise is far more effective in lowering your insulin, losing weight and reversing insulin resistance, as long as you don't blow it by eating or drinking something sweet within 2 hours of your exercise period.
What does progressive accelerated mean? It's pretty simple, it just means that after you warm up for about 3 minutes, you rev up the intensity of your exercise to about 60% of max effort for a minute, then back down to 30% for 2 minutes.
Then ramp up to 70% of max effort for a minute, then back down to 30% for 2 minutes.
Then, rev up to 80% max effort for a minute and so on, until at the last minute you are out of breath because you are putting in 100% max effort.
A two minute warm down, and you are done.
This means that you can be completely finished with a tremendous cardio workout in just about 20 minutes.
Can you fit 20 minutes per day of health building exercise in your life? And if not, why not? It will lower your blood sugar and give you energy and weight loss, not to mention normalizing the levels of a critical hormone your body: insulin.
When insulin levels are optimized, your whole body starts to go into repair mode, which is great.
