How to Silence Your ATV Exhaust

    • 1). Loosen and remove the muffler mounting bolts and muffler clamp from your ATV. After your engine is cool, remove all factory exhaust components.

    • 2). Inspect the exhaust port and clean if needed. Also replace the exhaust gasket if needed.

    • 3). Insert the silencer into the midpipe and install the two 63 millimeter DMC springs that are included with the DMC Slip-On silencer.

    • 4). Loosely secure the muffler to the subframe using the bolts provided. Verify that the entire exhaust system is free of any stress or binding and then secure the muffler by tightening the bolts with the wrench.

    • 5). Secure the silencer and midpipe mounting bolts to the subframe. Install the heatshield using the hardware supplied with the installation kit. Verify that the pipe does not come in contact with any cables, hoses or frame.
