• 15 East offers a contemporary dining room, featuring the contrast between dark colors and white combined with a sparse decor, and a nine-seat sushi bar. Chef Marco Moreira creates a modern Japanese menu, including Japanese Wagyu beef and tea smoked magret duck, for the dining room. Chef Masato Shimizu is responsible for the sushi bar creations although you can get anything on the menu in either room. It serves lunch and dinner on weekdays and dinner on Saturdays.

Le Petit Belge

• Le Petit Belge is a French pastry shop that bakes the freshest Belgian imports in the city. Here you can try the Poffies, a Dutch crepe with toppings of your choice (caramel, kiwis and housemade chocolate ganache) served in a paper cone. Or take the sugar cane waffles, madeleines and pralines served with your choice of Belgian fudge to go. Le Petit Belge is open weekdays from 8-11 p.m and on weekends starting at 9 a.m.

Lillie's

• Don't be fooled by the late night bar scene at Lillie's, above all it is an eatery that is the destination for many locals seeking a steak sandwich and a pint of beer. The Victorian bar/restaurant even carries its own house wine. But if you decide to skip the drinks and go for the food, you'll find an Irish menu for lunch and dinner. A bar menu, which is heavy on steak, fish, salads and stews, is also available. Brunch is served on the weekends. Lillie's, named after socialite Lillie Langtry, features an original bar and furnishings from a Victorian-period Irish mansion. Lillie's is open from 11 a.m. daily. Food is served until closing.
