Internet Marketing For The Average Joe

The phrase average joe means an average person like most of us. When we talk about Internet marketing for the average Joe were are talking about the basics of Internet marketing that regular people can take advantage of to make money.

Most of the advantages that have been around since the 1990s continue to be here today. Certainly there is more competition today than there was 15 years ago, but there is also more opportunities.

10 years ago very few people were blogging, nobody had heard of Facebook or Twitter, and making money writing for Amazon Kindle had not been developed yet. Today all those opportunities are here.

If you were to start a business online today you would find it very easy to set up. You don't even need any experience to set up a blog. You can even go to a website such as Fiverr.com and hire somebody to build you your blog for five dollars.

That's actually another benefit of Internet marketing for the average Joe. It doesn't cost much to get started. Most affiliate programs are free to join. Network marketing businesses are low in cost as well.

You can set up your own business as an Internet writer for free. You can even set up a blog at blogspot and not spend one penny to do it.

The Internet is open for business 24 hours a day. If you were to start a retail business you would have a hard time competing when you first got going because people wouldn't even know where your store was.

The same thing is true online because there are literally millions of websites competing for attention. However, with a little bit of effort you can start to drive traffic to your website and people can access it whenever it's convenient for them and not some eight to five Monday through Friday operation.

Women do just as well as men with Internet marketing. In many niches they actually do better. Young people make money online and so do old people.

People that are broke can get started just as easily as somebody with money. Ultimately it comes down to what effort you want to put in.

Internet marketing does take some skills and this is generally what separates the average person from the go-getter. You have to learn how to do Internet marketing, but if you're willing to do that even the average Joe can make an excellent part-time living, or even a full-time living online.
