  Intercontinental, founded in the 1940s, is a collection of more than 150 properties in 65 countries. The hotel company is known for its luxurious hotels and service. The chain has two locations in Ohio, both in Cleveland, on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic. Inside the larger hotel is one of the most popular and well-regarded restaurants in Cleveland, Table 45. • The Intercontinental Hotel is located on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic, one of the top medical centers in the United States. Located midway between downtown Cleveland and the city's University Circle cultural district, the hotel is a good choice for tourists as well as those visiting the Clinic. • Located just around the corner from the Intercontinental Hotel and also on the Cleveland Clinic campus, the Intercontinental Suites Hotel is a smaller property, with 162 guest suites. All one- and two-bedroom suites have wireless, high-speed Internet access (for a modest fee) as well as small refrigerators, microwave ovens and cable TV. Facilities at the property include an on-site fitness center, business center, gift shop and full-service restaurant.

• Table 45, located within the Intercontinental Hotel, is under the direction of chef Zack Bruell, one of Cleveland's finest and most experienced chefs. The eatery serves world cuisine, mixing Asian elements with traditional American and Continental fare. Menu highlights include grilled chicken with "pommes frites" (tiny French fries) and Japanese seven-spice crusted tuna. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday and dinner nightly. Reservations are recommended. For a special treat, there is a chef's table in the restaurant's open kitchen, where eight guests can enjoy a meal prepared especially for them.

• Citrus, located inside the Intercontinental Suites Hotel, combines coffee shop convenience and sports bar fun with fine dining. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and features Mediterranean and modern American cuisine.
