Janitor Service for DIY Counter and Counter Top
When installing the counter or counters and then again when putting on the counter top there are many minor changes to the workmanship of each unit.
There are often cuts that must be made to fit the counter to the wall or to a joining counter.
The same actions are involved when the counter top is applied.
With many counter tops, there is a need for a sheet of plywood to be attached to the top of the counter which will 'hold' the physical top.
The plywood section will often need some minor cutting to have it fit properly.
To do the cleanup for all the cutting a shop vacuum will usually do quite well.
If this installation is all that is being done, there will be very little need for additional equipment.
Often a broom can be used to collect the sawdust quickly but the vacuum will do much better collecting the dust etc.
When building the counter and the counter top is involved it is time for you to take up being your own janitor service or to hire a janitor service company.
If you are being the janitor yourself it is oft times valuable to install a large vacuum which will do the collection of sawdust etc.
very effectively You can install the vacuum unit with the vacuum bag at your desired location in the garage or work shop.
From that location there can be installed a track of PVC pipe that will have openings at various locations around the area.
This pipe will be in the 1-1/2" size with a T opening joint at every desired location.
Each of the T joints needs a removable cover which will allow the vacuum hose to attach at that location and the vacuum will then work from the specific joint desired.
Part of the vacuum unit is a vacuum hose and wand.
The hose can be from 5 ft to 20 ft long.
The vacuum will have specific ends to attach to the hose.
When the hose is attached and the vacuum is turned on, the area can be cleaned fairly quickly.
The vacuum bag can be emptied when necessary.
Different saws, sanders and other types of equipment have shields to direct the dust to specific places or in a specific direction.
These are most useful and reduce the cleaning time when finished with that specific task and or the entire project.
One major benefit of being a personal janitor service is that the cleaning can be done as soon as is necessary with no need to wait for the janitor service company employee(s) to arrive.
For some the cleaning time is at the end of the job.
For most the cleanup time is just before the companion comes walking out into the work space wanting immediate assistance on a different project.
