Selling Stained Glass Art On Facebook

If you are an avid stained glass crafter then you may need to find an outlet for your creations.
If you have filled all the nooks and crannies of your home with your art as well as given everyone you know lovely stained glass gifts then you might want to consider selling your work.
One avenue that you can use to market your wares is a social networking site like Facebook.
If you already use Facebook to keep up with your friends then why not use it to showcase your artwork? You can display any stained glass pieces that you want to sell and let your friends know about it.
If they have received a gift from you, they may know other people that have admired your work and would be interested in buying from you.
And that's the beauty of social networks! If you have something good to offer then the word will spread.
You have to realize that this is just for small scale sales.
It is not like renting a shop and making it a full time business.
Nor should you churn out the same pattern many times just because it sells well, unless you really like doing that.
It should simply be a way to make a little extra money from the surplus of stained glass projects you already have (or will soon have!).
In order to display your items accurately it is important to take good quality pictures.
Try to take a picture as close as possible and eliminate all background clutter.
The focus should be on your beautiful stained glass piece, not your pet cat Snuggles (not matter how cute he is!).
Photographing stained glass can be difficult so experiment to see what lighting works best for you.
Make sure that you keep your list of items for sale up to date.
As soon as you sell a piece remove it from the list or put a "SOLD" note at the end of the description.
Also try to add items regularly and let all your friends know so that they are aware of what is available.
That is basically all that is required to sell your stained glass art on Facebook.
You need a Facebook account and some digital pictures of your items.
Upload the pictures, write a brief description and let your friends know that you have some extra pieces that you would like to sell.
You might be pleasantly surprised at how effective this method can be.
