Why You Should Consider Living Frugally

With this past recession many people have considered or been forced to live life more frugally.
If you weren't forced then you might have made a choice to so that you could save and be prepared for the worse.
If you are still considering it then let me help persuade you.
Here is a short list of reasons why it good to live frugally and why you should.
1.
You don't make much or get few raises- It would be great if everyone had the perfect job and it paid them enough to get everything they needed in life, however, that is not the case.
In fact, many people deal with low income but often do it wrong.
By wrong, they try to live a better lifestyle by going into debt, which they will never be able to pay.
So if you don't make much or your income rarely increases you should consider living more frugally and saving up a nest egg.
2.
Job loss- Many people have recently dealt with this heartache.
In fact, my husband was fired recently and we had to make some changes ourselves.
When you lose a job no matter how much you have saved you need to start living as frugally as possible.
We had plenty saved and still do, but we have cut back as much as possible.
We spend half of what we used to on groceries and have cut out all entertainment expenses.
If you are or think you will have to deal with a job loss you will have to live frugally if you want to keep going.
3.
Save money for rainy day and retirement- No matter how much you make you need to save for a rainy day.
You need to have at least 3 months savings, but 6 months is better especially if you work contract work or are self-employed.
Also if you think the government will take care of you then think again.
The government rarely takes care of you, it may help..
a little, but it won't do much.
Social security is becoming a joke and you can not retire with just that.
4.
Get rid of debt- Thanks to Dave Ramsey and people like him people all over are living frugally to become debt free.
This is a great reason to be frugal because once you are debt free you will have more money to save and retire with.
Living frugally should not been seen as odd and weird, even though many do.
If you want to start living like this then I would recommend you get with a group to help you and encourage you.
This group can be friends that are doing the same thing, a forum or even just starting a blog.
