Using Social Media To Bring Your Business To The Euro Community

Although 2010 saw an interesting increase on the number of companies using social media as a marketing tool, there are still a good number of businesses who have not done so.
These companies are missing the opportunity to push their business to their target market using an almost free advertising tool.
Businesses tapping on the Euro community should look at the usage statistics of Europeans who are already users of various Euro social networks.
A survey conducted by eMarketer predicts that by 2015, there will be more than 142 million people in Western Europe alone who will be regular users of social networks.
Although UK has always been a leader among these European nations in terms of membership in networks such as Twitter and Facebook, the other countries are just now following suit.
Italy, France, Germany and Spain continue to show increases in social media activities due to the improved Internet access and usage among people, 50 years old and above.
Despite the popularity of US-based social media that are now penetrating the Euro community, local Euro social networks are also at work and are gaining their ground among Europeans.
In Germany, for example, the local social media StudVZ Group is still the industry leader and in Holland, Hyves has double the number of users of Facebook.
Any Dutch citizen will think of looking for another Dutch person in Hyves first, before checking with other websites.
A company would not have an edge over its competitors if it does not employ smart social media marketing.
Even a small or medium-sized company can easily create a page on any social network and use this to make connections with its clients.
Brand loyalty can be achieved by creating Facebook pages or tweeting about the advantages of one item over another.
Using various applications, a business owner can also send out coupons to its followers on a social network to attract more clients.
These are just some ways to use social media as a marketing tool.
In Europe, brands that are keen on creating a social media strategy to increase sales may have to analyze the behaviour of markets in the different Euro nations.
Frequently, it is not safe to assume that what works in the UK will also work in France or Spain.
The audiences in each country vary in taste and preferences.
Your brand may be popular in one particular Euro community and yet totally unknown in another.
A good marketing strategy can improve a brand's online presence.
This can be done by using social media and considering the uniqueness of each target market.
By being perceptive to market behaviour and trends, a company can integrate social media within a marketing strategy and achieve success in product sales.
