Basic Warranty

• All of GMC's 2002 model year trucks were warrantied against manufacturer defects for a period of 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever came first. This bumper-to-bumper warranty covers all appointments included with the vehicle from the factory, excluding normal wear-and-tear items such as brake pads and tires.
  
  

Power Train

• The power train of the Sonoma and Sierra line of trucks is backed by a warranty period of 36 months or 36,000 miles. The power train is composed of the trucks' engine, transmission and drive line components.
  
  

Rust Protection

• The body panels, frames and chassis components of the 2002 line of GMC trucks are warrantied against rust and corrosion for a period of 72 months or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
