How to Track Credit Cards by Bank Number
- 1). Gather your credit card statements or credit cards.
- 2). You should create a spreadsheet by using Microsoft Excel, which automatically generates columns and rows when you open a new workbook.
- 3). You should type "credit card number" in the first column, "credit card name" in the second column and "telephone number" in the third column. If you are planning to add more information, such as interest rate and minimum payment, you will need to create additional columns. Keep doing this until you have a column for all the information you want to track about the credit card. It is important to at least have the name of the credit card, card number and contact number for each card.
- 4). Enter the actual information, such as the credit card number, card name and telephone number, for each credit card in the rows of the spreadsheet. You should save your spreadsheet to your hard drive or a flash drive once you have entered all the pertinent information. You may want to give your file a name such as "credit card information". You may also want to print this information out and put it in a secure place such as a safe or file it away with other important documents. It is always good to have a backup copy just in case your computer crashes. If you need immediate access to this information, keep it where you can get to it instantly.
