2010 Autism Speaks 400 presented by Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes at Dover International Speedway featured long green flag runs. Jimmie Johnson was fastest over the long runs but Kyle Busch was best on new tires. However, this race was not decided on the track as Kyle Busch benefited from Jimmie Johnson's pit road error to pick up the win.

Qualifying

Martin Truex Jr. picked up the pole at the site of his first, and so far his only, career victory.

Truex won here in June of 2007 and lead the field to the green with hopes of scoring another win today.

The rest of the top five were Kasey Kahne, Mark Martin, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson.

Drop Of The Green

Kahne and Truex took the checkers side-by-side and completed lap one the same way with Kasey Kahne getting credit for leading lap one.

Truex slipped back into the clutches of Kyle Busch and finally settled into fourth as Jimmie Johnson also got past on his march to the front. It took Jimmie until lap 25 but he took over the lead and continued to rule the rest of the early racing.

Storylines

Brian Vickers missed today's race after being hospitalized this week due to blood clots in his chest and legs. Brian came into the race 20th in points just 160 points out of a Chase spot. Missing today's race will be fatal to his chances for making the Chase.

Casey Mears filled in for Vickers and managed a 22nd place finish in relief.

Chasing The Checkers

Leaders Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch hit pit road under green for the final time with 38 laps to go.

Busch had been quicker on new tires but Johnson was faster on long runs. The two leaders left pit road side-by-side and Kyle moved out front when they hit the track.

The race was decided during that pit road battle as Jimmie Johnson was caught speeding while exiting pit road. While serving the penalty he lost a lap and a race that was most surely his to lose was lost.

There wasn't anyone left to compete with Kyle Busch and he cruised to the uncontested win. This win made Kyle Busch the first to complete a Nationwide/Cup Series sweep since Harry Gant did it in 1991.
