Criminal justice seminars and conferences are a way for lawyers, legal support staff, administration, court systems, law enforcement officials, judges and other individuals involved in criminal law to learn about pertinent cases, statutes and other relevant information. Conferences are held regionally, statewide and countrywide, depending on the types of statutes and cases discussed, and can also be a great way for individuals to learn from others who have had very different experiences in very different places. - The American Criminal Justice Association National Conference is a traveling conference held annually. The event is always hosted by the regional chapters of the Association in and around the area where the conference takes place. Most sessions at the conference are open, round-table discussions, with one or two required lectures each year, presented by guest speakers. A written examination-like competition is also held on topics such as Juvenile Justice and Corrections.
