Why Are Utility Knives So Good?

It doesn't matter what trade you are, most people carry a utility knife around in their toolbox.
They have to be one of the most common tools that you see around, and for good reason.
A Utility knife is good for working with wood, carpet, opening boxes, cleaning objects, opening packaging, shaping materials, fine craft work and much more.
Of course, they are all designed for specific purposes, but in general the utility knife is very handy.
The best thing about these items is that they are not very expensive.
The blades are easy to replace, and can be purchased in bulk for a huge saving.
The blades are also double sided, so when one end runs out you just turn it over! Utility knives vary considerably depending on what they are for, and you can pay in between 4 and 60 dollars for your different grades of knives.
Something that I learned a while ago is that it's not worth buying the cheap ones.
They break very quickly, and in many cases are also very dangerous to use.
Instead, get yourself a good utility knife which is easy to change the blades on, well built and not too heavy.
A lot of people cut themselves with these utility knives, but you can even get ones today that automatically retract when you lose contact with whatever you are cutting.
At the very least get a utility knife which is retractable or that folds in half.
These are great tools because they are easy to use, and can be used for many different purposes.
