Jukebox Hire, Don"t Waste Your Money!
You have arranged a jukebox hire and karaoke hire for your upcoming event.
This time nothing will slip through the cracks.
You know for sure your party guests want to sing at your party and with your added enthusiasm, your party should "go off".
There is only one thing left to do and that is phone around the various hire companies for the best price.
Is the lowest price important, or should you look for the best valued package, after all, you always get what you pay for.
There are hire companies that will provide both karaoke and jukebox systems.
But if you really want to sing karaoke, then maybe hiring a jukebox for background music is not needed.
Here is how the night will probably pan out.
Guests start filtering in about 7:30pm.
They will graze on the nibbles and commence drinking alcohol.
The more they drink, the greater their confidence seems to get.
It seems an anomaly, but about eighty per cent of your guest will insist they just want to watch.
You will struggle to get them singing, so they say.
Eventually one or two shy, yet enthusiastic singers, launch into their performances.
And, like a giant snowball, getting bigger and bigger the singers start to line up.
The karaoke is going off and there is no way stopping the flow.
The party will probably rock on into the wee hours of the following morning.
What a hoot! Once the karaoke starts, it's unlikely your guests will want to stop for background music.
Your singers will be rumbling to the sounds of their favourite songs until the wee hours of the morning.
If you have 40 guests and each person sings two songs each, average song about three minutes long, that is 240 minutes, or four hours, so that takes you to at least midnight without the discovery of yet another favourite song to sing.
Looks like background music for an hour to two before the big event was a great idea.
However, after the singing starts, the background music stops.
In fact, anyone who has the courage to attempt to turn the jukebox back on might be taking their life in their own hands.
Guests get a bit tetchy if you remove their chance of stardom from them.
Next time you are arranging a karaoke night, rather than wasting your money on a jukebox hire, create a playlist on your iPod, laptop or phone and your background music can be enjoyed for FREE.
