Do Not Take No For An Answer

If you look at the lives of successful businessmen and read their biographies, you'll see a common trait.
Yes, they are brilliant, charismatic and leaders of great vision, but the common thread you will see in the fabric of their being is that they firmly believe, almost stubbornly believe, that they will succeed no matter what their current circumstances.
Steve Jobs had this trait.
Even when fired from Apple by the Board of Directors, he went on to start another successful company, Pixar.
I can mention many other examples.
These great business leaders had this unmistakable confidence that they will ultimately be successful.
And this seemed to give them the energy to continue going when others would have stopped or surrender themselves to mediocrity.
Here is the secret: Successful entrepreneurs never take no for an answer.
Instead, they stick to the business model they believe in and wear their competition down.
They have a can-do attitude that says there is a way around or over every barrier, no matter how daunting.
They are so confident in their beliefs that they don't even entertain the thought of letting someone else stop them from achieving their goals.
This forms part of a good self-image which is vital for success.
It's the confidence you radiate in spite of the storm around you.
People may falsely interpret this confidence as stubborn arrogance, but it gives you the ability to not take no for an answer and continue to build your success - brick by brick.
Entrepreneurs destined for success absolutely believe that they are going to be successful, sooner or later.
They have such a positive self-image that they believe that everything that happens to them, positive or negative, is part of a great plan to ultimately make them successful.
Unfortunately most people in life do not find a set of principles that they truly adhere to and believe in.
Gentle reader, If you can find yours and stick to them stubbornly, you'll also be at a natural competitive advantage where you will win 9 out of 10 times.
Read inspiring books, and associate with business winners so that you condition your thinking in order to react well when good or bad things happen.
Once you have set your business course, do not take no for an answer and persist until success comes your way.
Here are my 3 business absolutes.
If you continually pursue them, then you can be assured that you will eventually succeed: 1.
Be passionate about what you do.
This must be consistent.
You have to really love what you do and be motivated all the time to go beyond your setbacks.
2.
Be the best at what you do.
Be better than anyone else in your field at what you do.
Have the most up-to-date skillset in your field.
3.
Always put your client first.
That is why you are still in business in the first place.
This caring for your client should not merely be lip-service, but one of your core values and a cornerstone business principle.
