How to Start a Weed Whacker
- 1). Set the choke lever to full, and hold the throttle in the on position, keeping it there until the engine eventually is running smoothly.
- 2). Switch the power button on, and press the soft primer bulb four to five times times, which pumps fuel into the engine.
- 3). Yank briskly on the starter cord, from one to six times, until the engine starts to sputter.
- 4). Change the choke lever position to the halfway position. Resume briskly pulling the starter cord four or five more times.
- 5). Keep the throttle trigger depressed for up to 10 seconds after the engine has started running without shutting down. Change the choke lever position to off, and continue holding the throttle trigger down for another half a minute before releasing it.
