Typhoid is a disease which can be cause due to the bacterial infection. In the typhoid the patient can caused intestinal inflammation and fever. A vaccine was provided to prevent the people from the typhoid fever. This vaccine can provide protection against the typhoid fever. Every vaccine have the side effects, so the typhoid vaccine can also have the side effects but they are very rare.

There are two types of typhoid vaccine,
The oral vaccine:
This is vaccinated to the human body through tablets and capsules. It is also called live and activated vaccine. This vaccine contains salmonella typhi to alter the virulent bacteria that causes the typhoid. This vaccine is used to build the immunity against the virulent bacteria.

Regular shot vaccine:
Unlike the oral vaccine, the regular typhoid shot does not contain live salmonella typhiod. It is one of the types of an inactivated vaccine. Just like the other vaccinations, it can be also administrated through the injections.

Typhoid vaccine also have many side effects. It can produce only some mild reactions. The side effects which are potentially or serious life threatening are extremely rare in this vaccine. The side effects which are commonly observe due to these are; redness, pain and swelling at are where the vaccine is injected, muscle or joint pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, mild fever and abdominal pain. There also some other side effects includes diarrhea, and allergic reactions including hives, skin rash, swelling and itching of the face or eyes after taking the oral typhoid vaccine.

Basically, the most of the above side effects of typhoid vaccine are go away automatically within few days. There is no need for a medical intervention and treatment. It is most recommended to consult the physician that if the symptoms should persist for several days. If the severe allergic reactions including swelling of the face or eyes and breathing difficulties are experienced then you have to contact the physician immediately. The people who have the weak immune system and who takes immunosuppressant medications are not eligible to take this vaccine. The vaccine is also not administrated to those people who have earlier develops severe reactions to typhoid vaccine.

The children younger than 2 years are not eligible to given the inactivated typhoid vaccine, while the children younger than 6 years of age should not be administered to oral vaccine. Till now, the typhoid vaccine is not recommended to the pregnant women due to the safety of the typhoid vaccine for pregnant women have not been established properly.

While giving typhoid shot or oral vaccine, there are a lot of factors that need to be considered before vaccination. It is much better that you disclose yourself to any kind of information about your health. The risk of getting serious typhoid vaccine side effects is minimal, if you can maintained these adequate cautions. Because this vaccine prevents us from the typhoid fever and protected us from this fever. Drinking of clean, boiled and properly sterilized water can also helps to prevent from the occurrence of typhoid and many other diseases.
