Are you looking for a charity to donate to, so that you can help others who are worse off than you? Then why not take a look at sponsoring puppies to be guide dogs, a fantastic way to pay for a dog's intensive training? Sponsoring a puppy's training is a long process, as it takes up to two years to be able to properly train a dog.
There are around 10,000 blind or partially sighted people who could benefit from having a helper dog, so sponsoring a puppy to become one is a marvelous sacrifice for anyone.
Sponsoring a guide dog is very easy, simply fill in a form on the company's website and agree to a donation of anything from five pounds to as much as you can afford.
Your money will be designated to one puppy, and will form part of the fund that is set aside for his training.
We will send you regular monthly pupdates that detail how your puppy is progressing with its training, as well as regular photos so you can watch him or her as they grow up to be a fully trained dog!.
Another advantage of joining the puppy sponsorship scheme is that you'll receive a special gift pack for your puppy that includes a puppy photo card, a photo album, a certificate, a calendar and a window sticker so you can show the world what you are doing.
Sadly, you wont be able to actually meet your puppy in real life, as it will be far too busy with its day to day training to have time to receive visitors.
Youll still be kept informed of your puppys progress though, thanks to the regular pupdates each month.
The training period and your sponsorship will continue for 2 years, and by the time that it is over, no doubt youll be very attached to your puppy, which is why well inform you about the new home your puppy is going to be sent to and the person he/she will help.
The excellent, charitable service you are doing by sponsoring a puppy is going to make you feel very proud, of that we have no doubt.
Sponsor a Puppy is an official charity that is ran by The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
They have been helping to train guide dogs for many, many years and continue to do a great service for needy people.
If you need a cause to support, then what better choice than to help a blind person by sponsoring a puppy, its a really effective way to make a big difference in their lives.
