OBESITY IS IT A FAMILY DISEASE
Obesity is one of the number one killers in the United States and people ask the question is obesity a family disease. In most cases when you take the eating habits of one person that lives in a house hold of 4 to 6 people in most cases everyone has the same eating habits. What tends to happen is if the entire family is not eating right the situation goes unnoticed until each individual is overweight or obese and their weight loss problem has become out of control.
Most families see their eating habits as being normal and nothing ever being wrong with them until they go to the doctor. At that point it takes an outsider to look in to recognize that there is a serious problem and that the family needs outside help. One of the reasons that their eating habits become so far out of control is because they look at their eating habits as normal and don't see a problem until they are facing medical conditions and must make an immediate change in their life style. More times than not this is how the whole family is effected, it is thought of as a part of life and one person doesn't see anything wrong with the way others are eating because they are doing the same thing on a daily basis.
Every day across the United states and everywhere else for that matter people get up on a daily basis and have a route that they follow and after a while they get use to the same route in that one of the reasons it so hard to recognize bad or unhealthy eating habits because if everyone in your house is doing the same thing you won't even question it becomes part of your normal routine and that why obesity becomes a family disease and is most deadly in the United States people are habitual creatures and follow set routines that they have developed over the course of time living together and when someone leaves the house hold they take the very sane routines with them and the same bad habits. But unfortunately people don't see them as bad habits because they have done them for so long that is their normal.
So yes obesity is a family disease and until it is recognized as such each family that is affected by it is in danger of suffering many medical side effects which some are very serious ones at that.
