How To Turn a Microsoft Access Database Into a Web Version
- 1). Make sure the database you would like to publish is in the active window.
- 2). Click on the "File" tab. Select "Save & Publish." Click "Publish to Access Services."
- 3). Click "Run Compatibility Checker" to discover any issues that may cause your database to publish incorrectly. Resolve any issues before proceeding.
- 4). Type the web address of the Microsoft SharePoint server you would like to publish the database to in the "Server URL" box under "Publish to Access Services." Microsoft SharePoint works with all Microsoft Office applications including Access, allowing easy collaboration, file sharing and web publishing of databases.
- 5). Fill in the name of your web database in the "Site Name" box under "Publish to Access Services."
- 6). Click "Publish to Access Services."
- 7). If you make changes to the design or data in the database, you may want to synchronize the database with the web version. When you are finished making changes, click the "File" tab and select "Sync All."
