Have You Started Your Internet Business?
Have you started?
Your Internet business I mean. If you have, well done! You are on the road to achieving more freedom in your life. If you have not, well, why not?
Don't quit your job! You can start part-time. In the past, starting a business often meant quitting your job. Now you can start your home business with as little as one hour a day. You can see if it is successful before you quit your job.
However, what I like to do is to train my mind to see that there is only option, don't fall back on your job if you fail. This puts you into a 'failure' mindset right from the start. Often, it is giving yourself no option but to succeed that you will then do your best. Trick your mind to think that way.
There is no better time in history to be an entrepreneur. This is the worst time to be an employee. More and more tasks are becoming automated, and this will be more so in the future.
Starting a business has never been cheaper. Let's compare your offline rent with an online business' equivalent of rent - web hosting. Web hosting may cost $5-$25 a month, a store rent will cost you easily $50,000 a year or more, and with contractual obligations to boot. From day one, you are in debt.
I also do not know of many offline businesses that operate 24 hours. Ok, there's McDonalds, there's 7 Eleven. Not much more is there? I am looking down from my window, and all the shops are closed. These shops are not bringing in revenue at this moment. It is not physically possible.
Offline businesses live in the world of atoms, online businesses in the world of bits. One is a world of scarcity, one a world of abundance. Look at a supermarket, how much goods can it store? It has to decide what goods it can place on the shelves, and this is a very stringent process. Often, we think we can get everything in the supermarket, but there are more things that are missing.
You are judged by the quality you deliver online. You are not judged by your looks, your hair, your eyes, your shoes, your fingernails, or any of those things which are ultimately unimportant.
In the past, starting a business was enough to make one cower. Now, there's no excuse.
