Clear the History from the Browser Search Bar

• 1). Launch your Web browser. Click the "Start" button, then "Programs" and select your browser from the list of applications.
  
  
• 2). Right-click inside the search bar. The search bar on most browsers is located to the right of the address bar.
  
  
• 3). Select "Clear Search History" from the drop-down list. If your Web browser does not have this function enabled, you will have to clear the browser search bar using the browser's menu options.
  
  

Clear the History from the Browser Menu Options

• 1). Open your Web browser. Click "Start," followed by "Programs," then select your Web browser from the list. Many Web browsers use similar procedures to delete the search bar history.
  
  
• 2). Click the "File" menu and select "Preferences" from the drop-down list.
  
  
• 3). Click "History," then click the "Clear Location Bar," "Clear" or "Typed in" button to clear the search bar. Some browsers may use a different procedure. For example, click "Tools," followed by "Options," then "Privacy." Click "History," followed by the "Clear" button, to clear the browser search bar.
