World of Warcraft - How to Acquire the Quel"Dorei Steed (The Unicorn-Looking Mount) In WoW
One evening, I was wandering around in Dalaran with my level 80 night elf.
I was on my way to the bank, when I saw this revelation of a mount: A slender, white, full blood horse-like mount, with a horn protruding from its forehead.
Never had I laid eyes on such a wonder before.
I just had to acquire one for myself! So, whispering to the owner, I enquired as to where he'd obtained such a beautiful mount but, alas, he didn't answer me.
Later, I found the answer, and this motivated me not only to obtain the mount shortly thereafter, but also attain a substantial quantity of gold during my journey.
Luckily, this came about because I had noticed the name of the mount.
You see, you can always find out the name of a mount.
Because, when you click on it, the character riding it will show up and, beneath his picture, you can see the buffs that are active at that moment.
And the mount shows up as a buff.
In this case, I saw that the mount was called a Quel'Dorei Steed.
Maybe you've already guessed where the mount can be obtained? If you're familiar with the basics of the language Thalassian, you know that Quel'Dorei means High Elf, and that Sin'Dorei means Blood Elf.
So this mount can be found somewhere between high elves.
You will find many of them once you reach level 77, by going to the Argent Tournament Grounds.
Actually, there's quite a bit of interesting lore connected to this fact, and also to the war between High Elves and Blood Elves.
If you would like to get the Quel'Dorei Steed, you have to be exalted with the Silver Covenant.
You gain reputation with them with every single quest you do in the Argent Tournament, so you'll be surprised to learn how quickly your reputation can grow.
And, as you may already know, each quest also rewards you with a tidy sum of gold, so you can easily make between 150-200 gold per hour whilst, at the same time, build your reputation and become closer to acquiring this mount.
When you reach exalted reputation, you can buy your Quel'Dorei Steed for 100 Champion's Seals from the Silver Covenant's Quartermaster.
What is more, this vendor also has one of the prettiest flying mounts in the game, besides a pet and several other items.
It's well worth spending an hour or two daily to do the Argent Tournament quests.
