Cabriolet Ski Lift
Definition:
A cabriolet is an open gondola type of ski lift which typically takes skiers and resort visitors from a parking area or a lower part of a resort village to an higher level. After riding the cabriolet for a short distance, skiers then take a gondola or ski lift up the mountain.
When you ride a cabriolet, you'll carry your skis and poles in a cup-shaped lift that's open and about waist high.
In Canada, there is a cabriolet at Mont Tremblant Resort. In the United States, The Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah and Winter Park, Colorado have cabriolet lifts.
