    • 1). Obtain a receipt and/or written statement the judgment has been paid in the amount ordered. If you paid the judgment creditor directly, she will have to supply this documentation. If you paid the judgment to the court, the clerk's office will give you these documents.

    • 2). Download a Satisfaction of Judgment form from the Leon County Clerk of the Courts office website or obtain a copy by going directly to the clerk's office.

    • 3). Complete the Satisfaction of Judgment in the clerk's office or in the presence of a notary public. Include your name, the name of the judgment creditor, case number, the judgment amount, and sign the form. Have the deputy clerk or the notary public sign and/or stamp his seal on the form.

    • 4). File the Satisfaction of Judgment with the Leon Count Clerk of the Court's office. Give the completed form along with your proof of payment to the clerk's office and the deputy will file the judgment satisfaction on your behalf. Have two copies made of the accepted form.

    • 5). Mail one copy of the accepted form to the judgment creditor and keep one for your personal records.
