Many companies take orders for their products, and then send them over to the customers.
However, it is not always that these companies have sufficient space to store their company's products.
They will need some extra space to store their products, on the way to the customer's address.
Therefore, if you have sufficient space to store these products, you could offer to store the company's products until its distribution.
Order fulfillment services are something that is fruitful today.
Companies have a growing need for storage space for their goods.
So hiring storage space is a good means of generating income for you.
Once you offer this storage space to the company, you will be filling produced order forms either daily or weekly.
You then have to distribute the goods according to the order forms received.
This distribution may not only be for consumers; you could also practice wholesale distribution, where you distribute bulk amounts of the company's goods to individual shops.
In other words, you work as a wholesale distributor.
There is no need of you investing in transportation to distribute your products the company provides this.
However, there may be some companies that may not provide their own transportation.
In such cases, you may have to rent vehicles to distribute your goods.
In such cases, include the rent of the transportation, if applicable insurance, a fuel charge, and a delivery charge, in with your space charge.
However, you may have to have some sort of security in your storage space.
Perhaps hiring security guards or installing some security system, which will alert you of theft.
Insurance covering the stored goods too would be an advisable investment as you can never know if your space may be robbed, or some natural disaster occurs or if some fire breaks out in it.
Although the insurance may seem an unnecessary investment, in the end, you will never know when it will prove to be beneficial to you.
Then of course, there are shelves that you have to invest in to store all your products.
With shelves, you can store more things, and have your business run in an orderly manner.
If you work large scale, then you may also have to hire some staff to help in the unloading and loading of products to your storage space.
However, you should hire help only if you consider it very necessary for your business! You will have to have some marketing for your service so that wholesalers will know about you.
You could place ads in the newspapers, magazines, and commerce newsletters.
You could also create a website, which describes your services so that surfers will get to know about you.
Then of course, you need business cards that you can distribute to potential customers, a must have.
Creating some pamphlets can also prove to be beneficial as you could distribute them in trade shows and perhaps in commerce associations and places where business people may meet.
Once you gain a good reputation as a trustworthy, dependable, and reliable distributor, you are sure to find increased clients getting interested in your services!
